Our 100% Corn Moonshine recently took the Gold at the New York International Spirits Competition as well as winning Colorado’s Unaged Whiskey Distillery of the Year!
About the New York International Spirit Competition:
The New York International Spirits Competition was the first competition to be founded in the International Beverage Competition Series. After its success, we were asked to replicate the competition in multiple countries, and have since expanded to include wine and beer competitions as well. What sets us apart from other international beverage competitions is our TRADE ONLY blind judging panel, and the spirits industry has continued to take notice as our competitions have grown. At our wine competition held here in New York City, the retail store buyer, sommelier, restaurant beverage director, hotelier, distributor and importer will be our judges. We feel that these judges, whose livelihood rely upon their skill set, truly know what the consumer wants, as they receive on a daily basis the feedback from the consumer of what is good and what will sell.
Ways to enjoy our Moonshine:
This is easily our favorite way to sip some 'shine. It takes only 3 simple ingredients and a bit of patience, but it's always worth the wait!
Limoncello Moonshine:
- 32 oz Colorado Clear Mountain Moonshine
- 7 lemons
- 4.5 cups of sugar
Peel lemons and scrape off white flesh from peels. Add sugar and peels to Moonshine jar and agitate. Now the hard part: wait 2-4 weeks, until your 'shine has taken on a yellow color and the lemon peels have lost most of their color. Refrigerate and enjoy!!
Sex in the Woods:
- 2 oz. Colorado Clear Mountain Moonshine
- 1.5 oz. Cranberry Juice
- 1.5 oz. Orange Juice
- .75 oz Peach Schnapps
- Orange garnish
This cocktail is sure to keep you warm on a cold night. This drink takes less patience but a lot more self-control (these go down real easy)! This take on the Beach version tastes less like moonshine and more like sun 'shine.
