10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirit Co. Teams Up With Retired Army Colonel For Limited Edition Rye Whiskey

10th Mountain Whiskey and Spirit Company is pleased to reveal their donation to The 4th Infantry’s Memorial at the National Infantry Museum in Columbus, GA.

The $10,250 donation was made possible by collaborating with Retired US Army Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Frank Sturek who was tasked with choosing the Limited Edition Rye Whiskey.

This past fall, Colonel Frank Sturek received six different samples of 10th Mountain Rye whiskey. He tasted them, not knowing their age or proof. Sample #4 was Colonel Sturek’s favorite, which was a Cask Strength 10th Mountain Rye Whiskey presented at 125 proof in 750ml bottles

Distilled and aged in Colorado for two years in American New Oak Cask, this unique selection was crafted at 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirits Company’s distillery in Gypsum, Colorado

These bottles proudly display the 4th Infantry’s distinguish unit insignia a scarlet rectangle outlined in gold and has a green stripe centered horizontally. 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirit Co. created only 186 Task Force Warrior bottles to commemorate the 4th Infantry Regiment.

Proceeds from the sale of these bottles will be donated to the 4th Infantry Association to support the Memorial displayed at the National Infantry Museum in Columbus, GA.

“As the Honorary Colonel of the 4th Infantry Regiment, it was my honor and privilege to participate in the limited Cask Strength, 4th Infantry Rye sale and fundraiser with Ryan Thompson and the 10th Mountain Whiskey and Spirits Co. I feel very fortunate and humbled to be able to accept this generous donation on behalf of the 4th Infantry Regiment Association supporting the 4th Infantry Regiment Memorial in person at the distillery here in Gypsum Colorado! Ryan and 10th Mountain Whiskey truly “Walk the Talk” when it comes to supporting veterans and 10th Mountain alumni!

The uniqueness of honoring a special part of the 4th Infantry Regiment’s recent and enduring history, coupled with a really cool and tasty bottle of cask-strength rye truly jump-started our effort to get this memorial fundraising closed this year. The memorial will honor the fallen of the 4th Infantry Regiment and communicate the Regiment’s place in our country’s history at Fort Benning, GA on the grounds of the National Infantry Museum. Since word of the 4th Infantry Rye sale’s success and the significant ($10,250) donation made by Ryan and 10th Mountain Whiskey got communicated around the 4th Infantry Veteran and 10th Mountain veteran network, the individual donations began to pour in. We now have an achievable path to get the memorial built this year. I attribute the realization of this major goal for the 4th Infantry Regiment Association to the generosity and commitment of Ryan and his team!”  Retired US Army Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Frank Sturek said.

“As a company named in honor of the 10th Mountain Army Division, we are very passionate about supporting the military and we're grateful to be in a position to donate to this great memorial.  We can't wait to see it on display at the amazing Infantry Museum in Columbus, GA, and to show our appreciation to all of those that have served.” Founder Ryan Thompson said.
